Service for your "Carbon Heater" waterbed heating system

Brief instructions for installation of your analogue or digital "Carbon Heater" waterbed heater

For more detailed information, complete operating instructions are available as a PDF download.

a) Before installing your new waterbed heater, check that it is functioning properly. To do so, plug the mains cable into the wall socket (220 – 230 V AC). The heating element should become warm after only a few seconds. After the function test, immediately unplug the cable from the power socket. CAUTION! It is essential to unplug the mains cable as soon as the function test has been carried out, otherwise there is a risk of overheating as the temperature sensor does not receive any feedback. Also when dismantling the waterbed, the heating system must always be unplugged from the mains before the water cores are emptied.

b) Unplug the connection to the heater element (No. 5) from the thermostat (No. 1).

c) Place the heater elements as shown in the illustration at the centre of the water cores (No. 7) between the deck (No. 4) and the safety frame (No. 6). The deck (No. 4) must be clean or at least free of all installation debris. Make sure that the heater elements are not kinked or folded and that they are not located underneath any foam component.

d) Insert the control cable for the heater element through the aperture provided, making sure that the claw contacts on the plug do not get bent.

e) Plug in the connection to the thermostat (No. 1) again, making sure that the direction is correct.

f) The heater must not be put into operation until the water cores (No. 7) have been completely filled (Exception: Function test --> see point a).

g) Set to the desired water temperature. Depending on the temperature setting, the water core volume and the ambient temperature, it can take up to 24 hours for your waterbed to reach the desired temperature.

In the public eye

Out now and available at your waterbed retailer.

Clammy waterbed surfaces, odours or stains usually are the result of pent-up moisture in the waterbed. Often the reasons are too low temperature settings of the heater or wrong ventilation.

The "Clima Sensor" indicates excessive moisture in the bed and thus can help to keep your sleeping oasis in perfect and hygienic conditions.
