Waterbed heater will not get warm

LED on the analogue control unit is lit up continuously.

Cause:
(a) Safety response in heating element has triggered.

Remedy:
(Re a): Replace heater or contact specialist dealer or our support service.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

LED on the analogue control unit never lights up at all.

Cause:
(a) Power cable is not plugged in at the mains. (b) Connector from heating element is not properly plugged in to control unit. (c) Safety response in control unit has triggered - possible overload.

Remedy:
(Re a and b): Check/plug in mains plug or connector. (Re c): Replace control unit or contact specialist dealer or our support service.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

Malfunction or Error: E 001 appears in display.

Cause:
a) Interruption between thermostat and heating element. b) Contact resistance on the measuring cable. c) Fault in the heating element.

Remedy:
to a) Check whether the assembly plug is correctly plugged into the thermostat. to b) If a) has been carried out, then plug the assembly plug into the thermostat and unplug; repeat several times (5 to 10 times). to c) If a) and b) have been carried out and E 001 continues to appear on the display then there is a fault with the heating element. In this case, the entire heater must be replaced. Please contact your dealer or our customer services department.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

Malfunction or Error: E 002 or E 003 appears in display.

Causes:
a) Short circuit of the temperature sensor. b) Interruption in the heating function/heating element.

Remedy:
(to a and b): The complete heating system must be replaced. Please contact your dealer or our customer services department.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

Decimal point in digital temperature display (e.g. 28.0°C) blinks continuously.

Cause:
(a) Safety response in heating element has triggered.

Remedy:
(Re a): Replace heater or contact specialist dealer or our support service.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

Decimal point in digital temperature display (e.g. 28.0°C) never blinks at all.

Cause:
(a) Power cable is not plugged in at the mains. (b) Connector from heating element is not properly plugged in to control unit. (c) Timer is not set correctly.

Remedy:
(Re a and b): Check/plug in mains plug or connector. (Re c): Set timer in accordance with the operating instructions.

Waterbed heater will not get warm

Display on digital control unit remains completely blank.

Cause:
(a) Power cable is not plugged in at the mains. (b) Safety response in control unit has triggered - possible overload.

Remedy:
(Re a): Check/plug in mains plug. (Re b): Replace control unit or contact specialist dealer or our support service.

Waterbed heater gets too warm

LED on analogue control unit flickers.

Cause:
(a) Control unit malfunction.

Remedy:
(Re a): Replace control unit or contact specialist dealer or our support service

Waterbed heater gets too warm

(a) Control unit malfunction.

Cause:
(a) Control unit malfunction.

Remedy:
(Re a): Unplug power cable from mains (approx. 1 hour) and then plug in again. If problem occurs again, contact your specialist dealer or our support service.

Waterbed heater sometimes gets too warm

Cause:
(a) Measuring error/fault in control unit or on heating element.

Remedy:
(Re a): Unplug and replug connector from heating element to control unit several times. If problem occurs again, contact your specialist dealer or our support service.

(a) Measuring error/fault in control unit or on heating element.

Remedy:
(Re a): Unplug and replug connector from heating element to control unit several times. If problem occurs again, contact your specialist dealer or our support service.

Equalization of potential in waterbed

Tingling sensation on contact with partner or the bed.

Cause:
(a) Heating element is wrongly installed, with the writing facing down. (b) Protective/earth conductor is missing from electric circuit or power distributor, or is not properly connected.

Remedy:
(Re a): Install heating element in accordance with the operating instructions. (Re b): Contact an electrician, your specialist dealer or our support service.

LED of analogue control blinks frequently

Temperature in the bed is unchanged/is correct.

Cause:
(a) Precise temperature measurement, minor hysteresis (small difference between switch-on and switch-off temperature).

Remedy:
(Re a): No remedial action necessary. Has no negative effect on service life of heater or on the energy consumption.

FI circuit breaker is tripped

Each time the heater is plugged in.

Cause:
(a) Heating element damaged by massive kink in heater mat. (b) Cumulative residual current of all electrical devices is too high.

Remedy:
(Re a): Replace heating element and/or contact specialist dealer or our support service. (Re b): Contact an electrician, your specialist dealer or our support service.

IQ Carbon will not work with mains isolation

Heater operates for a short time only or mains isolator will not switch off.

Cause:
(a) Mains isolation switch may need adjustment.

Remedy:
(Re a): Contact our support service.
